I think had tyson fought a holyfield in 1988,it would be a war like hagler/hearns and tyson would vome out fine especially against a guy with a 29 inch waist and a guy who bsically struggled against guys like dokes, cooper, stewart!evander looked good in 1988 against thomas so they should have met while tyson was prime and ready physically and mentally.A fight with holyfiled earlier in tysons career was essential to his legacy and the influences screwed him up,King, givens, bad friends etc.

Don't get mad at me, but seeing the outcome of their 2 fights I suspect Evander had Mike's number: Iron chinned, confident, unafraid of him, able to frustrate his explosiveness with dirty, rough-house tactics. I agree that then Tyson was way past his prime, but Holyfield was damaged good himself after hard battles and health problems.

When mike trained 7 days a week 10 hrs a day and fought every 3 months, nobody could touch him because of his great defensive approach to the fights.Watch the fights again, show me any area of his past fights from 85-88 where an opponent got off more then 1 shot, show me.And all great fighters get banged around from time to time, ali, even foreman the indestructable got punched around by ron lyle.even holmes said tyson in 1988 ,said he was very awkward and hard to hit.People remember the hittable guy

Sorry, "nobody could touch him" doesn't mean "nobody could have touched him". I'm pretty sure some of the greatest heavyweights of all time would have touched Mike a lot with their fists. I don't need to re-watch his early fights, I know he usually looked awesome against fair, good or even very good opponents. What I don't know is how he would have fared against another GREAT champion in his prime or near it

Once JJ and Cuss died, nobody was left who could control Mike.

And then Don King moved in.

Mike was done; he never again was able to train to peak form.

    It was a nice run.

I agree totally!!!!! I modeled myself after him during my early street fighting days. This video should be shown to all cowards.
