  • do you have to feed the male while he protecting the eggs?

  • Nope. After you take him out. It's best to load the pair with rich foods leading up to and then fast for the duration of spawning. Once their responsibilities have been fulfilled, get them in warm, medicated water and feed them normally.

  • I have a good question. When do you take the male or female out after they have breeded?

  • Take the female out as soon as you have determined that she has done her part (providing eggs to be fertilized, look in the bubble nest for them, they look like grains of salt) and the male when the fry can swim horizontally on their own.

  • They're so tiny! :D

  • I assume he didn't eat the fry cause there were some scenes where he picked up the fry and blew them back up to the nest. Or am I wrong?
