Save Chuck - send a message that we need family shows

There was a time that families would sit together in the living room and "watch" the radio. When TV came, it was also a social activity -- the first family in town to get the television was the place where everyone gathered. From the 1950's through the 1980's, there was a plethora of family friendly content.

However, in the last twenty years, we've been isolating ourselves. From video games to the internet, to hundreds of channels of very specialized shows, we've been rapidly losing these avenues for families to sit together and enjoy entertainment compatible with all ages.

Enter Chuck -- eight year olds are just as vocal as eighty year olds, that this is a show that has something for everyone. Its universal themes -- relationships with siblings, parents and friends -- that an everyman can make a difference (and get the girl too) -- resonate with all of us.

We hear countless stories from people who share that Chuck is the only show that their family watches together. For some reason, people come together to watch this show -- to laugh together, to share the experience, and to talk about it afterward.

It's in a tough time slot, competing with juggernauts "House" and "Dancing With The Stars" -- so move it to Thursday night!

It's also a tough sell -- I can understand that it is hard to market. And yet virtually everyone who watches Chuck is immediately hooked.

Please send a message to NBC that we need family shows! Move it to Thursday night if you have to, put a little more money into marketing -- and keep this wonderful story alive.

thanks! I just heard from CNN, and they may use part of this iReport video in their weekly talk with Ausiello today between 12pm and 2pm EST. They're still trying to work out scheduling for Josh Schwartz and Zachary Levi, so the live interview may still happen but I don't know when.

Please keep an eye on CNN over the next couple of days... they have asked me to do a live TV interview with Chuck creator Josh Schwartz and Zachary Levi! It could get preempted by breaking news, but if not, it should be either Monday May 4th in the early afternoon or Tuesday early afternoon.

Lol, when I first began the vid, I was like wait a minute I know that voice (from somewhere) Lol, then I kept watching the vid and you're that AWESOME guy from the podcast! Great Job on the last Podcast by the way!
