This is the Slow Trainer by RCTestFlight (you can find him on YouTube). He has a PDF for the plane and a bunch of videos about this plane and how to build it. In my opinion, after lots of experience with other purchased and scratch built beginner RC planes, this is the best. It is extremely easy to fly and build. Plus, you aren't out a lot of money if you total it in a crash and it is very easy to repair.

  • hi i was askin if you could make this plane but not assemble it and send it to me i will pay under $40 australia for it cause ive got a j-3 flatout but i crashed it and now ive got 2 hundred dollars worth of radio gear and need another air frame plzzzzzzz reply

  • @TheSawnoffshotgun Thanks! I have had many offers from people to build them planes, but the real value in scratch-building comes from doing it yourself. The materials cost just about nothing, but its the time to make it. And I don't have the time to offer customer support if you would need help. If you want to BUY a very similarly flying trainer, check out CrashTestHobby's Pelican or Albatross - very easy to fly and very crash resistant. Thanks for watching!

  • I was wondering what radio you use for this plane? My son who is 11 wants to build this plane but is not sure what kind of radio we should buy? thanks

  • @angryyank68 You can get a cheap 2.4 ghz radio from HobbyPartz or HobbyKing. But I use a DX7, I would highly recommend a Spektrum Dx5, Dx6, Dx7 or Dx8 - depends on how much money you want to invest.

  • @nealusburke Your biggest problems here are 1 - the weight of the plane, 2 - the power of the motor. That motor should have plenty of power for this plane, but if not - you can get a 300 or 370 size motor which should be great! Or, you can decrease the weight of the plane. Either of these 2 options should fix your problem, the battery is not your problem.

  • @nealusburke You can definitely use a 2200 mah battery and it should work fine with that ESC. It will be on the heavy side for this plane, and a smaller battery would definitely work better. The 1000 mah battery should have more than enough juice for it. The biggest factor here is your motor. What motor are you using - send me a link.

  • @RcTranMD Hahaha! Got it. I know that we talked earlier, I was wondering what that post was about. Just watched your video, looks great! Nice build! Just bulk up that mount.

  • @schraut5 i know im subscribed to you since like the start of my channel or the beginning of august this year and seen all your vids nice work by the way

im just telling you subscribers who have went to the next level

but sadly im still on the ground still have almost no flight experience only like 30 seconds total but im a good builder

  • @RcTranMD Thanks for the recommendation! But I am way past the sports trainer. This video is intended only for beginners. Check out some of my other videos for other planes I have designed and am flying!

  • a next plane you can try is the mikey's rc sport trainer

only if you are ready for a four channel plane
