Being up on that hill we didnt see much of the battle but apparently the guns being up there looked good?

@penance. Sorry, I thought you meant fired HE as in 'artillery rounds landing'. To 'land', they must have been fired from somewhere eh? Yes I was there and watched the battle bang (sorry for the pun) opposite the the German trenches.

I was on the 25 pounders and as the pyro man said, the simulated rounds landing was done with HE and not pyro, hence the rather intense safety briefing.
The HE was not shot obviously, the guns use black powder blanks but the splash downs were HE.

HE is high explosive. Howitzers (like the ones near the woods across the road) use HE rounds in real life. These were firing blanks with pyrotechnic explosions planted in the field.

Hey, I have just had a look at yours, it looks good! I would have gone in and paid, but we were out on a picnic on a long walk and came accross it, plus had no money on us! Ill definately pay next time its on, not going today though as we are busy unfortunately.
