Im going to put this intro before every final mix video I do, so if this is your first time seeing mine listen up. This is kingdom hearts 2 final mix, the japanese game. If you want this game..GO AND BUY IT. It's available at play-asia and japanvideogames usually very reasonably priced. You need swapmagic to play it on american PS2. All the information you'll need to know about final mix is in a little video I made. You can find it here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_7uAPHOAcPQ&feature=channel

Just FYI this is the absent silhoutte marluxia not the data one

Words can't describe how terrible this fight is. In order to beat it you will need a lot of patience. This fight is ridiculously easy if you aren't level 1, but if you are, things get a little ridiculous. There are a few different strategies but I will go by mine. If you didn't know already marluxia's counter=1 when you are level 1, so no damage is required to beat him. Even the non counter hits are strong enough to OHKO you.

This fight is broken down into 3 phases. The beginning phase, the dark hole phase, and the desperation move phase. The beginning phase will familiarize you with marluxia's basic attacks, especially the RC. In level 1 CM you have to make sure you do the RC where you actually smack marluxia (not the one where you take his scythe) as you take a bar doing that RC while the other doesn't do damage (It gives back points to the counter, which does nothing in level 1 CM) If you are closer to marluxia then his scythe you should do the right RC. Get use to doing this as it will be very useful in the second phase.

I use reflect a lot in this fight because I don't trust myself to always dodge the reappear slice attack (sephiroth fanboi much?). I found that my first phase strategy usually loops him, RC to combo to reflect and then he does RC again. The first phase isn't very hard so looping doesn't matter that much, but hey if you get the second phase faster it's all the better.

The second phase is very annoying but if you're patient still not that hard. I prefer gliding around for the beginning of the holes until the roses are off you are until you can see what marluxia is doing. I suggest only going in for a combo while the holes are there if the RC is open. Otherwise wait for the holes to disappear and get a combo in after his 4 slice attack (Keep in mind if you do an RC the holes automatically disappear) The second phase is repetitive and long but it can go much quicker if you are lucky enough to get marluxia to do the RC often and you do the damaging one

The third phase is where i think most people have trouble (And by most people I mean me) He has 3 new moves which are all very annoying but you can build damage. For the rolling move I suggest gliding for the first time it passes, fall down reflect, and jump up and glide some more. Guard accomplishes the same thing but I defintely prefer reflect in this fight. For his new reappearing slash move (he does it 3 or 4 times) I suggest spamming reflect. You can get in big damage and I find it much safer to survive.

The move you have to be ready for the most is the desperation move. This is my way of doing it and although there might be better strategies mine worked best for me. Check out other methods along with mine to see what works. Once marluxia appears over you I immediately start counting while dodge rolling to avoid the move. Once I reach 10 I spam reflect, this is about the time marluxia does his thing. If you time it wrong, chances are you will die. If you time it right you get another 2 reflects worth of damage and a combo afterwards. You can also dodge roll the first attack and proceed to reflect if that works better for you.

All in all I hate this fight. I'm not a perfect player and this fight makes you have to be one. The first step to this fight is mastering all of marluxia's moves, then putting it together. If you go in unaware you still be destroyed before you know what's going on. Marluxia is not a hard org member, but with the requirements in level 1 CM he gets moved up way higher then he was on the list before. Since potions have no use stock yourself with ethers. There aren't a lot of opportunities to drive and goofy and donald will be dead about 95% of the time in the second phase so ethers are a lot better choice, (There is also no drive form I would recommend for fighting him)

  • whos the dude with the syth did he hack the game or something cause that was not in the game

  • He's only in final mix, it's marluxia from chain of memories

  • why do you have a number "1" over soras head in this battle?

Is it the level u are?

and what happens if it decreases?cuz i have seen other people but they have a "99" over soras head

    plz can somebody answer me?

  • In the marluxia fight you get a hit counter put above your head, it starts at your level, and goes down every time you get hit. If it hits 0 you lose. Since I am level 1 it's only 1, the other videos you saw were with people being level 99.

You can also increase the number by doing a reaction command, but it can not go past your level, so the RC does nothing at level 1.

  • i have no idea where taht is
