@Tagesvensson My guess is it is pure John Lee Hooker, alla "Boogie Chillin." La Grange is a rip off of that lick. The only problem is they should not be "flat-picking" those up-notes--they should be hybrid pickin, using 2nd and 3rd fingers to up-pick. Much sweeter.

@OrangeMiniMoose It's a cover of a Slim Harpo tune from 1966 I believe. I think Slim might how got the idea from a Bo Diddley song... Might be wrong about that though.

@KurzAnhalten This is many "lines" before the debacle known as 1978 "sore throat tour" I might suggest you double check your calendar. This band is completely different than the band that stumbled onstage in 1978! This band is a MASTERPIECE working on one of the top 100 albums ever recorded in the history of recored music!

Super tune by the greatest rock and roll band in the world. Check out another version of this same song by the Nighthawks. Both bands show how its done.

It's a shame that Mike T. left the Stones. In my opinion he helpped shape and smooth the raw talent of Keith R., without stiffling or minimising it in anyway! Truely a master.
