  • @sdmiz I wouldn't call it modal in the sense of Flamenco Sketches et al. Yes, it can be analysed in terms of the modes in each chord but I think classic modal tunes have less movement in the chords/tonal centres. The chord progression isn't so far removed from traditional standard progressions; it reminds me of Duke Ellington (especially Warm Valley) with an Erik Satie approach as well.

    lol...I have the album so only come here to listen at work. But agreed. This album is a VERY good one!
