Just out of curiosity, how hard is balancing being a VFF and being in college?
-
Im in south Texas and my department allows red and blue with siren. after 6 month probation. Word of advice for anyone getting a siren get a whelen do not go with STL Siren. Are the good cheap alternative? kinda but for a extra $100 or so get a whelen and have much better tones. Now STL lights are not bad and i have found them to be much cheaper and last just as long as whelen products.

Go check out my lights you will enjoy

You should do an updated video with the lightbar.

@CTFD13 What city in NE Ohio?

Did you wire the ss2000 just for air horn or does it wail or yelp also, did you run all your wires into one positive lead? Thanks

Not bad but personally I'm not a fan of running slicktop. I just prefer a lightbar on top. Much better for intersections & overall visibility.

@box15c22 i dont run slicktop anymore. i have a mini liberty on the roof, a single viper s2 on the dash, 2 sound off LED3 grille lights, and 4 corner LED's, whelen vertex.

Very nice setup, not as overkill as some of the other wana-be firefighters out there. I am a big fan of POV's but not people who abuse lights... Please be safe and don't abuse them!!!

@CarRamRod370 Thanks. My set up has actually completely changed since this video. I currently have a strobe in each corner, 2 red grille lights, and a mini liberty with 4 red corners, a split 500 series in the center, and a red 500 series LED in each alley light position. Not overkill at all, and VERY effective. I also have a code 3 dashlazerM that i throw on my dash during the daytime, so people can see it in their rear view mirrors.

@Firefighter0804 Im in northeastern ohio, in a city of 17K. all volly fire. Everyone on the department is allowed red and a siren as long as the reds are 360, and your required to run a siren if your lights are on.
