My fiancé is in the Army and she got her orders to Hawaii. It sucks. A lot. Because I am supposed to move there but because of the stupid government saying that same sex marriage isn't legit, we are going to have to be apart longer until I can actually afford living in Hawaii. It sucks.

My husband is in the Navy and it's really REALLY hard. Even as a straight couple its difficult. Now idk about any other branch but I know in the Navy you can be openly gay but you can't be in a gay relationship that they know about. It's really unfortunate and stupid. I'd say unless you're already in a committed relationship, just move on and let them focus. It's not worth having to be secretive and waiting for them to come home.

I've been going out with my gf for over a year and she is thinking about joining the navy. I honestly don't think i have the strength to stick with it for 4 years of her being in the navy. i know it sounds really shallow, but it would make me worry a lot and plus I kinda like haveing my gf around soo yeah :/
