How I copy vintage patterns that are beyond repair.

A neat thing I do is that I use a large format scanner to copy vintage patterns into PatternCAD so that I can also print it using my large inkjet printer. It will also print resized patterns so if your pattern is not in the size you need, it will readjust it so you can print the right size.
I have ironed freezer paper to the back of pattern pieces before to make them more durable. I think this might work to repair them too. Just make sure that there is something protecting your iron from touching the wax side of the paper.
This simply rocks Whitney!! I love watching all your tips! The few vintage patterns I do have, i've ironed interfacing onto it and it's stayed on! It even got wet and the paper didn't disolve. Crazy wierd huh? :) I love that you added one of TB's oldie jinggle to this vid! Awwwww OXOXO
Several years ago I discovered 36" rolls of tracing vellum. You can find them at DickBlick(dot)com, they have a 50 yard roll of 36" wide for about $15.00. That plus a sharpie marker will give you great patterns every time. It will also last forever -- that's a lot of traced patterns!
I love information like this. I am a beginner sewer...I have only made a couple of garments (free style or tracing clothes) and have not used patterns yet. I plan on buying some in the near future.
I'm new to sewing. How would you do this for multisized patterns?
