i have a question. i have a metal muff going into a noise suppressor on my pedal board. the noise gate dosn't mute the feed back coming from the metal muff pedal. should i connect it to the FX loop on my amp head?

You cold try yes, it may not work. Feedback is probably more likely to be due t the settings on your Muff. Try rolling off the gain a little.

does it silence feedback?

It can do if the correct settings are dialled in. It may affect the overall tone in this case however
