@nacireman2009 You're right but it wasn't just that...it was also because of all the gun violence in Washington D.C., there was already pressure for them to change the team name before Rabin was assassinated...I agree that was a little over the line for Barkley to say...I like him and he's very funny sometimes but that was a dumb comment to make.

I remember reading how the Wizards' late owner, Abe Polin, decided to change the team name from the Bullets to the Wizards following the death of his friend, Israeli PM Minister Yitzhak Rabin. I can respect the name change that it was done out of the love of a friend. Charles should too.
