A critical step is missing.
After installing the ISO, the syslinux.cfg file must be edited in notepad.
Find pmedia= and change the entry after the = to usbflash.

I know the video is old, but I must ask: Why would anyone use UNetbootin to install Puppy, specifically, to a flash drive? Puppy has its own installer for USB flash drives, and has had it at least since '08, when I first ran version 412.
The Puppy USB installer even sets up the installation to delay writes to the disk in order to speed up regular operation.
For Puppy, just use the included installer. There's no need for UNetbootin.

ok i need help. i've tried writing the ISO file to a cd many times. i tried using low disc speed and redownloading but nothing works. I really want to use puppy!!!!! what shud i do?
A friend of mine said he tried it and it didn't work. He found an article that says when using unetbootin that it would only work about every third time. What we did was kept reformatting the disk until it worked. Keep trying it, it will work dont give up. Its a great tool to have in your box.
