That's pretty cool. At first I was thinking "what in the world is going on?", but as it went on I can see now how useful this could be in different settings (herds, sidewalk folk, floating rubber ducks in a stream). Nice render btw, good simple tone scheme.

Hi, thanks for your interest. The simulation code has been written in C++, based on OpenSteer + an interface has been written in Python to get the simulation results into Blender, a 3d modelling app. Be sure to check out the page mentioned in the description if you're interested and have a look at the sources or try the app yourself.

So the only language I can use to write an interface (in Blender) is Python, right? Sorry for the noob questions, but I have never dealed with it.

That's correct, Blender has a Python API that is documented quite well. Technically I guess it'd also be possible to adjust the blender source code directly, but doubt whether that's more convenient.
