the story

The band started in 1998 with a project which resulted in the demo Too Many Puppets (1999) which was greatly accepted by the audience and stimulated the band into their first live concerts. Meanwhile the band was preparing the recording of their second demo Silence is a gift (2001).

This work was very well received by the specialized media like Rock Sound, Rolling Stone, Mondosoro and Kerrang among others, webzines and fanzines all over the world also gave magnificent reviews of the material.

After presenting Silence is a Gift in the national territory (Spain) and playing with other important bands like Rosendo, Tierra Santa, Sober, Skunk DF, Dover, XXL, Lujuria, Hedtrip and Afterfeedback, Concrete Tree wins the Mistic Music Festival 2004 that brings them to editing their future LP.

After this period the band releases its first LP Sunrise in the Sunset (2005). Thanks to the press reviews the band obtains nation wide recognition. The media emphasizes especially the compositions, the production and above all the fresh style and the originality.

Concrete Tree begins to tour around Spain to present their LP. Madrid, Barcelona, Burgos, Valladolid, Alicante, Murcia, Granada, Almería, Málaga, Sevilla, Córdoba, Cádiz and Gibraltar were the chosen places to present the LP in a direct and intense manner.

In the summer 2007 and with new composed material, the band decides to work with Heatroom Studios in Madrid to record Beauty of a Lie (name of the new E.P.). It has four songs full of feeling, energy and elegance. The recording is made under the management of Juan Pablo Magarian (Chambao, Efecto Mariposa, Snake among others). Concrete Tree finds its style maturing the sound and its personality.

  • I actually enjoyed this, mainly cuz it sounds like a heavier version of Failure, quite possibly they were influenced by their 1st two albums

  • This kind of music makes me very sad,but yet very happy :D
