Bekonscot is the world's oldest true model village - having been started in 1929 in Beaconsfield, England. We're still here now, having probably more fun than we should whilst at work. It's a super place to come with the family - we're only a few miles outside London and near the M25 and M40 motorways. Nice. I remember the model railway when it had a third rail for power back in the early 1970s. As a kid I travelled from Heston to Southall on the 120, and then Greenline bus 711 from Southall to Beconsfield, and then walked a mile to get to Bekonscot model village. It was well worth it though.
