Fix Deactivated So Bricked iPhone 3GS 5.0 or 5.0.1 Over Redsn0w

If you upgraded your iPhone 3GS to iOS 5.0 or 5.0.1 and then realized that you lost radio signal reception being not detected, observed as NO SERVICE, I can imagine what you have tried and what attempts you have been through.

One of the most frustrating issue comes due to DEACTIVATE iPhone 3GS using redsn0w. If you happened to brick your iPhone 3GS or dumped it to Apple Logo loop back, I have a very simple fix for you. A simple trick that works 100% giving life to your iPhone 3GS once again.

Here's how it works in short: simply connect iPhone 3GS to your computer, put your iPhone 3GS in DFU mode, open iTunes, restore your iPhone, ERROR may display after a while, just cancel that, quit iTunes, put the iPhone into DFU mode once again, open the latest version of redsn0w (0.9.9b6 or b7 or b8), select IPSW as 5.0 (don't select 5.0.1), jailbreak selecting install Cydia and iPad baseband, once the jailbreak comes to Apple logo and stays there for a while, put the iPhone into DFU mode once again, and then from redsn0w use the function JUST BOOT. Once the iPhone 3GS comes to Home Screen, follow the screen commands only deselecting ENABLE LOCATION SERVICES and AUTOMATICALLY SEND DIAGNOSTICS & USAGE, download ultrasn0w from Cydia, download iFile, download ultrasnow fixer and you are all set. By this I assume that you have pretty good ideas already so the hints are enough to make a progress. Good luck!

HOW CAN i GET TO DFU MODE WITHOUT USING MY SLEEP BUTTON IN ORDER TO JAILBREAK THEN UNLOCK MY PHONE.I CANNOT EVEN TURN ON/OFF MY IPHONE 3GS, I CAN ONLY RESTART IT (holding home button for 10sec ).THNX

@kristobruna Don't worry about your iPhone being not turned on. Plug into computer, leave there for about 10min if the charge has been gone. Now, press the power and home button exactly for 10 seconds, and release the power button whereas keep pressing home button for next 16 seconds. Don't worry even the iPhone shows that kind of symptoms, still this process turns the phone into PROPER DFU. Enjoy!

I have a 3GS with the iPad baseband since i had to unloc.. I KNOW i had to upgrade to a custom ipsw but i forgot and just did an upgrade to an original ipsw and thought i`d jailbreak after.. now the iphone (and itunes) tells me i have no sim installed.. it gives me a different error everytime in itunes (once i fix one and try again it gives another error - all unknown but different codes)

any ideea? if i reinstall the custom ipsw from scratch and disable location services, will that work? 10x!!

@pingyxp2 You don't have to reinstall custom ipsw. Put the iPhone into proper DFU mode. Restore from iTunes. Don't worry about error message at iTunes. If your iPhone is in DFU, iTunes may not throw error message. If it does, meaning it installed iOS 5.0.1. Now save that iOS 5.0.1 in your desktop, we need it while using redsn0w. Launch redsnow and put your iPHone into DFU once again. Then, select iOS 5.0.1 from Redsn0w. Once located, jailbreak selecting iPad baseband and Cydia. It works.

Hey man i have a new 3gs bootrom and i tried to install the ipad baseband and now its completely bricked on 5.0.1 and i cant restore it or anything. what should i do

i tryed to jailbreak my iphone3gs and it did not work and i got into itunes to restore it and it work. Then i tryed again and then i work for like a little bit then got stuck on the running pinapple so i Did the power and home thing to turn it off so i could just restore it and be done with jailbreaking and not do it again. but when i turned it on again it was stuck on the apple logo so i went to itunes And my iphone is not even showing up now please help me fix this issue.

My iphone 3gs was bricked but after watching this i got it fixed. the problem i have now is that it keeps restarting, and for some reason it won't let me enable wifi. any suggestions on how to approach this? thanks.i'm trying to unlock it also but i can't do a single thing
