  • It's not a teleprompter. It's simply a set list showing, in order, the songs he's performing for that particular gig. He's had set lists taped to his piano for several years. So, yes, technically it's a "prompter" of sorts.

  • @ChrisCione

It is a teleprompter. It's the small monitor on the floor of the stage right next to the piano. The taped list on the piano you're referring to is unrelated.

  • wait was that a tv monitor with the words on it? lol

  • @djmarkcotter

    It's called a teleprompter.

  • @bobdole9696 lol or a karaoke monitor, lol he should not need one,,, i wonder why they have it, i have not seen it for his other performances?.,... oh well

  • @djmarkcotter

It's always there. You've simply never noticed it before. Almost every musician has a teleprompter available when performing live, even if he/she doesn't use it.

  • @70finster He has said he prefers the way his voice sounds now. I still appreciate the "old elton" but he's got a different depth now. He's always wonderful.

  • Seriously, who gives a f*ck about any teleprompter?! Does it make him any less amazing?? He has almost 200 songs and he's still rockin in his 60s.

  • After all these years still some of you people can only talk trash about EJ being gay, and if it's not that, it's bitching that he can't hit the high notes, and then bitching that he uses a teleprompter! PLEASE STFU! The man is fu**ing Captain Fantastic and our world is richer, warmer, and more humane because of his talent! Just listen to the music!!!

  • Apparently some people are not aware that Elton John had emergency vocal chord surgery in 1986/87 which permanently changed his voice from tenor to baritone. Elton was fortunate enough to have his voice recover to the point where he could even sing again... he had to re-learn how to perform with his new voice. It would have killed the careers of many performers however Elton went on to create many new hits after that surgery. Personally, I'm glad his music is still alive.

  • Fly Away O'8)

  • Apparently Elton forgot his lyrics after performing 3,000+ concerts in his career.

  • What time is the teleprompter on?

  • I love Sir Elton John so much.
