Combined Arms Demonstration

2009 Rhode Island ANG Open House & Airshow
Quonset State Airport
North Kingstown, Rhode Island
Saturday June 27, 2009

IN THIS VIDEO, you will see the ever-popular Combined Arms Demonstration, which is a staple of the Rhode Island ANG Open House & Airshow. This year's Combined Arms Demonstration does not have any pyro, but it is still an action-packed demonstration nonetheless. You'll see the fixed wing aircraft take off in the beginning, followed by the demonstration. Participating aircraft include one Pennsylvania ANG A-10, one RI National Guard C-23 Sherpa, one RI National Guard UH-1 Huey, three RI National Guard UH-60 Blackhawks, and two RI ANG C-130J-30 Hercules.

If you are interested in purchasing DVDs of specific aircraft and/or of airshows, interested in anything and everything related to airshows (where the jet teams will show up, all airshow performers, airshow reports from airshows I have attended, previews of airshows I will be attending, etc.), a much more easier to navigate "version" of all of my videos, and/or everything there is related to aviation - including spotting guides to my favorite airports and military bases and aircraft factfiles, please take the time to check out Steve's Airshow World at http://www.stevesairshow.com .

  • its kinda odd watching this without the pyro...though it does let you focus more on what the aircraft are doing

  • at 7:49, they did it wrong, as soon as the main landing gears touched down, the load master shouldve already have the ramp goin down...............thin as soon as the load mast unloaded the cargo, he shouldve radiod in, for take off, by the time they take off the ramp should already be almost closed...........

  • im surprised to not see either 1 or a couple of C-17's in this

  • this is an AMAZING demonstration; those C-130Js can really come to a very short stop. great vid!

  • cool planes
