Miniature steam tractor - hand made

This is a video of a tractor that my skipper made during a med cruise aboard the USNS Neosho in 1990. I cannot remember his name. He told me that he made every piece himself which to me seemed quite amazing. I am inclined to believe him as he used to come to my electronics shop and "borrow" small screws and hardware. If you know anything about this particular model, please comment as I have always been interested in how he did this. Also note the gorgeous locomotive in the early part of the video.

my grandpa had one as a child. it was slightly bigger and wasnt hand made. we tested it a few months ago and it still works perfectly well !!!

Yep, those 2 engines don't look like any commercially available ones I've ever seen. I would have to say the Cap'n probably designed and built these all by himself. They are beautiful. Good video.
