Tony narrated a documentary on Ava and said in it: "She did things I don't think actresses do today--she would stay out all night dancing and drinking, and when she came in in the morning she would be glowing!"

I remember reading an article about Shelley Winters where she said her husband Tony Franciosa got deeply involved w/ Ava in this movie and he actually stayed out late with her on nights he should have been sleeping. Shelley confronted Ava on the set one day, told her to keep her hands off Tony and threatened to get some of the "Murder Incorporated"mafioso she grew up with in Brooklyn on Ava's case if she didn't.

Who is that black child Ava is hugging at:32? I 've seen this movie but it's never been clear to me this little girl's relationship to the story line.
