  • Any chance you could send me a copy of some kind of sheet music that shows the fingering for this? I'm learning the tin whistle, and I think this would overjoy my dad if I could play it :3

You're really gifted, by the way!

    Fantastic job :D

  • @babisari Thanks for your kind words! Sorry to say, that I don't have any Sheet music for these tunes though :( I mostly learn these by listening and yes, it takes time but when they are stuck in your head, they often stay there hehe. You can of course check if there are any good abc notations of this tune. Just google "abc+tune" etc. and you will probably find something!

  • @QRS666 Thank-you! ^^

If you can play by ear, by god you'll go far. :D

  • @babisari It is harder but the tunes will stick better so to speak. Nothing wrong with sheetmusic of course! Best for me is to break down the tune in parts. The irish jigs and reels are naturally to break down that way I think. a part and b part. break down part a in 4 parts and don't stop until you can play them. Then do the same with part b etc.

  • ah jesus! fair play. easily the best rendition of that tune ive heard in a long time! your truly gifted! :)

  • @pizzaman26

    Very kind of you! Thanks!!

  • beutiful, good job man...i am going to learn to play on whistle

  • Haha! I also often play the morrisons with this one. They sound great together. Sometimes it is hard to separate them when you play. Sort of similar when you put "The kesh jig" and "merrely kissed the quaker" together :)

  • Sounds good. I will definitely check them out. Maybe I will have a go at Whelan´s jig as well. Might play it together with Morrisons as a set. They are both Edorian, so why not? The question is just what whistle Im gonna pick for it. Kerry Pro low F or Chieftain Low D V3.

  • That is the main reason why I have not uploaded more whistle tunes. Will do that when I get a better cam for the whistle as that was my intention when I started my youtube account! After all, Tin whistle is my main instrument but it has become much more banjo, singing and guitar so far hehe Expect more whistle tune in the future though..I have tons of them somehwere in my head :):)
