  • That was the best summer of my life. We had so much fun making new friends and representing the USA. I was also part of the 144 man trumpet section...and everyone was top notch. It took about three weeks to learn the field show, and we had our music memorized before we got there. All expense paid stay at Pepperdine U/ Loyola U. I remember going out to a nearby Pizza place for dinner...with about 80 of us. We took over the place. Those were the days... M. McWilliams

  • @amca90004 The Olympic band was sensational. The USC Trojan band formed the "core" of this band and their legendary director Dr. Aurthur C. Bartner was its director. This is SO American and was one of the highlights of the greatest opening ceremony in Olympic history. LA did the Olympics so well and hopefully will (as London will do next year) host the Games for a third time in the future.

  • Does anybody know the name of the tune that starts a 4:16? This performance is so amazing given the sheer size of the band! I really wish I was there to see this in person, but I wasn't alive back then!

  • @scv7785
