If someone says, "I know that most people are heterosexuals but I'm homosexual," it's a controversy. Why?! Why do we automatically start thinking about who someone is sleeping with rather than who they are as *people* and what they do as productive members of society? If someone said, "I know that most people like blue, but I really am a fan of green," most people wouldn't think a thing about it. Some of the best friends I have in the world like green. :o)
