As horsemen and women, as well as human beings, we must all work together to bring horse abuse, neglect and slaughter to an end. Organizations, such as the SPCA and numerous horse rescues work diligently around the clock to put an end to their suffering. Please help them to help the horses with your time as volunteers, donations and your vote on legislation that will stop horse slaughter and torture.

why dont we just take a bunch of land and give them all land to live free on, a big lot for wild horses

Because, babygirl, it takes more than land to house horses, it takes responsibility, funds, and there is simply not enough of either, nor land.....

Excellent video; you are a wonderful horse ownerfriend!! Revamp this, all you watching this, for the tragedy of November 2011 in the USA. Be responsible, be realistic (horses are NOT dolls), care for them until the very end.

Slaughter by captive bolt or honing knife will NEVER be humane. Horses anatomy and their predator instinct make them unique from the animals we normally slaughter for food. Horses are NOT dead when they are slaughtered. They are either paralyzed by repeated strikes with a honing knife to their spinal cord or knocked out with a captive bolt. Their throats are slit to bleed out while still alive. Also the horses going to slaughter are 92% sound, healthy horses, not starved, neglected.

@Mausiiiable I rescued her from a very abusive situation...the people who had her were uneducated and had no idea what they had. It took 5 months to put the weight back on her, get her feet back to a healthy state and another 3 months to get her to trust again. She was very food aggressive as well as somewhat aggressive with people. Two years later she is my riding partner, the one I tell my secrets to and most importantly...my friend.
