@blackjackhp: yes, it's true women have been having babies for thousands of years, however infant and parent mortality rates were much higher until techniques such as c-sections and pregnancy acceptable antihypertensives came about. If there are any compilcations the parent and infant frequently will die during the birthing process. If the family had sought out the nato forces during a fire fight this give a possible indication problems were occuring.
