Here is a version of the Paul Heaton video 'I DO' which we produced recently.

We were given just 2 weeks to put it together in full from drawing board to delivery.

As it happens we had only just had a studio meeting to discuss possible concepts for short films and one of them was for an animated time lapse video of a section of city, all shot as if it were a moving 'wheres wally'.

The overall theme was that of an ant farm, loads of hustle and bustle and right in the middle, in complete contrast, a man who stands motionless, waiting for something. It fit the song perfectly.

The whole video was produced as 1080p static shot and will be available on our website soon. Working at this resolution meant that the team could focus on populating the city with people going about their business and we could direct when each individual appeared and performed their actions. Once we were happy with the overall pace of the piece, the high resolution meant we could go in at the last minute and direct the camera in response to the track.

Particualr highlights for me are the subtle reflections which appear as the ground gets wet during the downpour. Oh and the posture on the second football player when he realises the ball is stuck.

We had scripted tons of other characters but we had to prioritise them and just keep animating until we ran out of time.

Characters who are missing but not forgotten are:

The traffic warden who gets chased by a delivery van driver.
The teenagers on scooters late at night.
The man who drops his keys on the way to work and returns home not realising he has lost them.
The fox.
The man who just watches tv all day.
The vandals who graffiti the walls.
The old lady who never gets across the road.
The drug dealer outside the school.
The pervy flasher.
The window cleaner.
The hookers.
The breast feeding mums in the park.
The breast feeding dad in the park.
