This is a photo montage of the past year of my big black German Shepherd Dog, Sirius. It chronicles picking him up in 2007, his favorite activities, his hip surgery in May of 2008, and his recovery, as well as a poem of unknown origin about German Shepherds that describes what it is like to have one in your life more accurately than anything else I can find.

The song is Without You, by Munk Turner and is used under the creative commons license. More information can be found here: http://www.archive.org/details/monkslovestory

  • We have a German Shepherd mix and his name is Sirius too! He's very active & loves to play bite. We're always telling him 'no', and 'sit' ... and he's about six months old now, and finally getting the hang of good behavior. He can be so frustrating at times, but when he cocks his little head to the side, our hearts melt with love and joy. He's a good puppy, and he just wants to play! All the time! lol I just uploaded a video of him at the beach for the first time, if anyone is curious... yay!

  • @Glanecia Good luck with the young pup! Hope the beach was fun for everyone :)

  • do u still hav him or did he pass away???

  • @robertryan11 I still have him and he's doing wonderfully. Unless I tell people, no one can even tell he's had surgery.

  • nice video!! its really cool

  • @j902cyp :(

  • @j902cyp I'm sorry for your loss. It's hard when they leave us but they make our life so much better when they are here. I have no idea how anyone would not want a GSD in their life!

Thanks for sharing and for your kind words!
