  • I had the hardest time replacing my tank and fuel pump. what was it you said about the ground strap? mine broke off, do I need to retie it or reground it?do you know what it grounds?

  • @Vacmasterthegreat the ground strap on the filler neck, is just to help ground the gas cap area around the fuel filler neck to reduce any static electricity or sparks from igniting the flumes from the fuel :)~

  • this is the first VTEC s10 i have seen

  • @twittiefan lol i guess it's a 2.5l tech 4 engine ... lol

  • Man.. I'm replacing a pump on my 99.. Is there a trick to get it seated? That thing fits so snug, I can't get it in..

  • @SimonKentSmith maybe use a lubricate on the seal & also, helps to bounce on it with your weight, too ... as you turn the retainer ring

  • @capecodcuda that's what I thought. would you also have any idea why when I turn on the ignition, the fuel pump makes a little "burp" sound? I know it primes for like 2 seconds when ignition is turned, but it never made that sound before I replaced the tank.

  • what line is the sending fuel line i need to replace it and i dont know what one it is (i have a crack between 2 lines so i dont know what one it is)

  • @capecodcuda

Thanks man, that's exactly what ended up doing.. It worked..

Lubed up the O ring, twist wiggle and bounce lol.. That thing wanted to fight back..

  • @SimonKentSmith sometimes you really got to push down on it, as you turn the retainer ring, with a screw driver
