There were four properties scheduled to be auctioned in Brooklyn last Thursday. Only one sale took place. Here's why. According to Rob Robinson of Take Back the Land.org, the disruption caused total chaos. "The court officers don't know what to do when the singing starts."

The members of Organizing for Occupation, Housing is a Human Right and Occupy Wall Street who took part in the Brooklyn action included many of those who executed and planned December 6's Day of Actions. There's more coming up, in what they're calling a "Spring Offensive." Let's just say, dormant they're not!

  • This gets the entire spirit of #Occupy -- art, beauty, even humor (I think it's hilarious that they whiteboard the plan first!).

  • The person who disliked this has no soul...

  • Can you post the lyrics?

    Tabs?

  • the song sounded good and was well executed.

  • Great job guys! What I never understood is the arrest. There is no "law" against singing in a courtroom of which is under Maritime Law (don't laugh - it's true). You're thinking they got arrested due to "Disorderly Conduct"; right? Wrong...there is no victum, therefore no "Crime" aginst which one can be arrested for. It's all in the legal terms - look it up for yourselves. If only we all know the system, we could stop complying to it because it is unenforceable. Peace & safety my friends.

  • by the time a foreclosed property is sold in auction the previous owners are already out of the house. No good was served and these remaining houses will be sold in a few days. This does nothing to help those who's houses are being foreclosed on. If they wanted to make a difference they'd figure out methods of helping them keep their houses like if the foreclosure was done though an auto system and not by a specific individual at a bank.

  • I think that Average Americans are sick of all the greed and lies of politics and corporations. Americans have no say so anymore as corporate greed and money fund politics and America's economy, our citizens are walked over and can't do anything about it unless they are very wealthy or placed in power positions. This is obviously gonna get much worse and by then it will most likely be to late to regain control. Better stock up on firearms...lol

  • Fuck the Police....and when they come to take your home....make sure it accidentally burns down or is so damaged that they can't profit from it. This video is all after-the-fact. Too little, too late.

Or better yet, don't buy their homes to begin with. Find an alternative to meet all of your needs.

  • Now THIS is what I'm talking about! WTG OWS!

  • @estater353 Funny but clearly missing the point. Thank you for the LOL! tho!

  • Woohoo..........I think we should all skip our next mortgage payment in solidarity. Housing and free mortgages are a human right. I think our next target should be auto loans. I , for one, am tired of scraping what little I have to make my monthly car payment.

  • need a better song. and the people's mic thing is getting annoying.
