this is so good! But there again we're talking Doc Watson - it's his feel and stunningly good taste in the notes he plays that makes him such an inspiration to guitarists and music lovers everywhere. god bless doc, and merle. gerry cott.

Doc is a great American treasure. I saw these guys live in Santa Cruz. David put on a huge slide show against the back wall of the stage. There were family photos - Doc as a lad with his first guitar, etc - and all sorts of famous pickers playing together. They were so YOUNG in some of those photos.
