Artistic Director Choreographer Adam Basma, and the Adam Basma Dance Company brings to life on stage the rich pagentry of color, music, and history of the traditional native dances of Egypt, Lebanon, Syria, Palestine, Jordan, The Arabian Gulf, Iraq, Morocco, and Algeria.   • @paulncost I AGREE with you Paul... even the tradition of hindi men who dressed in women's clothing for sacred ritual, this only developed out of the evolution of banning woman from any spiritual rituals. Middle East's Bahar boys who dress up as women and do sex dances for large groups of men and sex slaves to men because Muslim religion say woman cannot be sexual, so they pick up 12 year old boys to do it. worlds getting wack.

    This dance above in its origin is Dreaming Woman with Elk Dancer.

  • men are not supposed to dance sham3edan...this is a woman's dance in Egypt.

  • oriental dance is a woman's dance.

    Folkloric is fine for men, but to see a man in spangles, fringe and beads looks like a head-on collision between Porter Wagoner and a SF Gay Pride parade.

  • Shamadan is very difficult to balance, well done
