Nothing against Mustangs, but a 2006 Civic Si will roast a 2006 Mustang V6. Both reach 100 km/h in 6.9 seconds, and the Mustang is RWD. That says a lot about the Si's acceleration; it has less traction off the line and still runs the same 0-100 time. Not only that, but the V6 Mustang weighs over 3,300 lbs. Face it: the Mustang is fat and slow. It looks good and is RWD, but if you want performance, get the Civic Si. It slaloms at 67 mph and pulls .86G stock on 215/45 all-season tires.

@timmunn1 not true you can build a v6 with a new engine and twin turbos that puts out around 500 horses to the wheels for around 20 grand, gt500'scost upward of 40 grand, you do have a point that v6's are not the best choice for most people who want speed, but people build them because a 11 second v6 is a work of art, its something to be proud of, anyone can throw a turbo or s/c on a GT and have it go 11 seconds

@SushiCheffff well actually the 2011 v6 might finally be a sports car. 305hp v6 6 speed transmission and its not really heavy and it handles better cause it weighs less than the GT. definitely a big step up from what it used to be, finally.

@turbonegro1120 It was an 09 GT. But im pretty sure i can take out a 2011 v6. But like i said earlier, its not even meant to be a sportscar neways so it really doesn't matter.

Think its pretty funny, I drive a honda but i am not a ricer, i do respect muscle, but these kids with their little econo rustangs are the ones who always instigate my si. Almost a waste of my gas smashin em on the freeway.

@turbonegro1120 Funny, i just smashed a mustang gt with my 09 si, and yes we were racing, 40mph roll 3 honks and we were off. Pretty sure i could take out the new mustang v6. But who cares neways, the mustang v6 isn't a sports car, just something for the avg consumer who likes stangs. nothing to bragg about if you beat one. Just my .02 cents.

@timmunn1 are you stupid? a new bone stock Si runs even with the 2005-2009 v6 mustang. the new 2011 v6's smoke any hope the civic once had, youll never see a civic Si beat a new mustang v6 unless its boosted or honda decides to put a 6cyl in there, 5.1sec 0-60, mid 13's 1/4mile for the mustang v6 vs 6.5sec 0-60 and 15sec1/4 mile for the current civic. think about it this way, the new mustang v6 makes 2X as much torque as the civic yet the mustang only weighs 400lbs more, sorry folks
