I must admit, I am a 49 year old man who has allways listened to rock & roll and not country. I have just discovered these old clips of Dolly. I think she is the most beautiful thing I have ever seen, along with the most beautiful voice I have ever heard. Thanks so much for posting.

The only person who knows how the song should be performed is the writer. Dolly Parton's version sounds more sincere. Even if Whitney's is better vocally. She's just singing, with Dolly it 's like she's feeling it and that's what singing's about.
