this is a poem by irish poet patrick lewis strachan. The poem is titled, AN ULSTER NIGHTMARE, and it's a dark and moving peice about man's inhumanity toward man. The poem is taken from his book, CHILDREN OF THE BRIAR and it's one of the saddest and disturbing books of poetry that I've ever read. An accomplished poet who reads, at times, like a cross between Seamus Heaney & William Blake.
