Tara Browne (4 March 1945 -- 18 December 1966) was a young London socialite. He is perhaps most famous today for serving as an inspiration of the Beatles song "A Day in the Life".
Forty five years ago today, he blew his mind out in a car

Thank you so much for sharing this unique video. Do you have more about him or where I can watch more of him. His life was short but he touched so many lives like ours.

PS - it is not very well known that Sean O'Riada, the great Irish composer who had a lot to do with the formation of The Chieftains, also wrote a song in tribute soon after Tara died. He himself died of cirrhosis aged 40 a few years later - another live fast die young story. Bless them both.

Very nice, thank you for uploading this ultra-rarity! I lie Tara after watching this. Though rich, he was aware of his good fortune and able to mix with all kinds of people - his closing words indicate that. He has a nice vulnerability and I am willing to believe that allegedly he swerved his car at the last moment so that he would receive the full impact instead of Suki. RIP Tara.
