I love the buell just because it is different. you dont see many of them driving around and when you drive buy people they expect an anoying wine but they hear an amazing roar. i love the open look of the engine as well.

What I absolutely love about the buell is that it looks and handles like a sport bike, but has a nice throaty exhaust note. Im not saying that I don't like to hear some 4 cylinder R1's redline, but come on, listening to this just makes you grin ;)

correction on a few things in this video:

1-all buells except the 1125R models are based on the sportster motor/trans unit...NOT the big twin hog.

2-it is a 45 degree v-twin

3-the 9 models are 984cc..the 12 models are 1203..NOT the other way around

4-your burnouts are childish and better left for the punk stunters in flip flops and wife beater tank tops

no, he says that erik buell is crazy for putting an engine in a sports bike, that is mostly called a diesel tractor engine, but that he pulled it off and improved it ;-)

Where I live we also say that harley's have diesel tractor engines, just because of the way they sound

The XB9R is 983cc and the XB12R is 1203cc.

muddragon: Yeah HD sucks for shutting down Buell. I'll never buy an H-D now. I am, however, going to buy one of the last Buells made this week. I hope Erik Buell rebuilds his company, but this time doesn't sell more than 9% of his company to anyone. Going public at all was a big mistake, but selling 99% of it to H-D was fatal. In retrospect, it appears that H-D purchased Buell just to shut him down.
