How to make a homemade Leyden Jar, a simple form of a capacitor. I usually have my students make this during our electrostatics unit.

  • You can use a tube tv that produces static - just rub the open wire end near the TV. Measuring the charge is more complicated.

  • @Crystalthehedgehog1 take some pvc pipe and rub a fleece sweater on it to build the charge on the pipe then slide the pipe through the fleece near the screw and its charged.
