  • This song is somewhat an open letter to Malik B, his partner in rhyme, the 2nd vocalist/MC of the crew. Water, in Philly, is slang for promethazine, also known as syrup. Malik, an exceptional lyricist, let the water drown him. He's still alive but his vice sorta took hold of him at 1 point, so Riq wrote this 4 him. Listen 2 the CDQ version and digest the lyrics. Shout 2 Malik...a Philly legend. From ya youngbul from Sp B@ne.

  • The hip hop industry needs more real musical talent like this. Good stuff.

  • WE WENT TO MILLERSVILLE!!! @:57!!!!

  • Whatever happened to Hub?

  • amazing song telling the story of how Malik B got caught up in doing drugs and couldn't live the dream with the roots. Very sad, I remember Malik on stage with them in the mid 90's. They are still the best live hip hop act ever, but no Hubbard, Storch, or Malik B, it is different

  • This is GOOD hip hop
