Tortola, BVI, November 2010, Perfect Point Break. On this particular business trip I was completely floored by what I found. Growing up in Hawaii and California I never gave much respect to the Atlantic Ocean in terms of it's surf production. Well, this video shows, that Tortola has educated me on the truth--the Caribbean can go off! Anyone else surprised by the Caribbean? Do tell!
Oh, and the locals are great!
@5up3rCOnqu3r0r dont underestimate the atlantic! in the eastern atlantic, parts of europe as well as south africa have some of the worlds biggest waves; infact, the biggest wave ever surfed was in portugal! in terms of the east coast/caribbean, there is still some solid surf; there have even been XXL sessions in the caribbean

@breeze344 the bahamas hold the most surf potential in the caribbean. they are filled with south pacific style reef passes, and are very exposed to NW swells. I was at a reef pass in march 2008 that was indo like perfaction

I'm sorry for you if you think that Tortola has the best surf in the Caribbean; think again, this wave would be a nice wave but quite standard in terms of Barbados waves.
