This video shows a piece of aluminium being dissolved in a acidic copper sulfate solution, producing hyrdogen (as the bubbles) and copper (the brown dendrites). Because the copper sulfate solution is placed underneath the cover glass, the copper grows in a flat dendritic form. Its was taken through a stereo microscope at 20x magnification and played at double speed, with top lighting.
