The time is 1900 and in near pitch darkness, I see a light on the horizon. I am absolutely delighted as only a few more minutes I would have no light left at all and would need to head back home, 50 kms away.
This train crossed another freighter, Train No. 1BM7, at Tamrookum, a farther 20kms south. I would later learn that the original crew was relieved at Tamrookum after a long day in the cab where they joined their train at Taree, NSW.

In World Events:
The Costa Concordia runs aground few days ago, killing at least 20 persons.

  • Excellent video. All the steel trains are relieved by Brisbane crews anywhere between Tamrookum and Grafton depending on how they are running.

  • @captainmort thanks for the comments! - so if WB3 is running on time the relief is done at Tamrookum?

  • Cant fault it mate. Smashing video.

  • @SMILEVIDEOTRAINS thank you

Ideally, Tamrookum is the best place to relieve the steelie. At the gate in the middle of the loop but, Control usually puts the train away at Glenapp for a cross with BM7 so that's where we generally do the changeover if it is running on time.
