This is an amazing video of a discovery of a Velazquez portrait right out of their own collection and being a person out of another of their own paintings. Haven't they seen the video of one of the worlds supposed greatest art forger and his own secrets on how he was able to fool these art experts with his partner and how he chose his subject matter from other masterpieces?

Duveen really messed up a lot of paintings with his "shellac" technique of varnish application. Thank goodness the Met has fantastic conservators. Also, the Jonathan Brown thumbs up is pretty convincing. Kudos!

I hate it when people gesture so close to artwork. Even the damn director of the MET does it! WTF!
