With easy to use Wilton Bake Even strips, say goodbye to high-rise centers, cracked tops and over-cooked edges. The moisture in the strips keeps the edges of the pan cooler for perfectly level and deliciously moist cakes—every time! No leveling means no wasted cake and icing and decorating are a breeze!

  • Would you be able to set the cake pans in another pan full of water in the oven to get the same effect?

  • @FutureMrsMcKee I don’t recommend water baths for standard cake baking. Water baths are essential for cheesecakes and other baked custards where additional steam from the water bath reduces cracking, but there is just too much extra moisture in the oven to use them with layer cakes. Hope this helps!

  • Thanks SO much for this video! I am making my first layer cake today, and this makes me feel much more confident!

  • I use the strips everytime and they work great!

  • I just love all these helpful cake making videos. I have the bands and now I know how to use them more effectively. :)

  • I use these and my cakes are never done in the correct amount of time time!!! when the timer goes off they are still liquid in the center!! They do work ifv you can get your cake done

  • Ummm did you measure your cake batter before evenly dividing them? I think you would get an even amt of batter if you measure, this might sound silly but maybe you poured more in one pan than the other, I think that is a great idea using the strips tho. I have never used them myself I just though maybe you might of pour more in one than the other lolol. I'll have to test these stripes thanks.

  • My cake pan is deep, so the strips only cover 2/3 of the pan. Can I put another strip on top or should I leave it?

  • @wiltoncakedecorating thanks =]

  • There is a noise but I can hear her fine.

I have these and they work pretty good.

    :)

  • Would be nice to turn the machine in the background off. Can't hear a thing you're saying
