@bmxstar14 not really, hope and avid are only the really good ones, rim are much better as i have now found out, with a grind, smooth and maybe wth tar can help, also cleaning the rim if it is smooth and getting soft pads, these aren't dirt bikes tho, dirtbikes would use ther brakes for gradually slowing down not snapping into place and holding weight.

@speedtrials1994 disc are much better than rim. thats what dirtbikes an stuff use. is it neccesary. not really. you can get a good set of rim brake pads too
