I am having some issues with the left front spring rotating inside the socket when I turn the wheel. Do you guys have any thoughts of what I may have done wrong? Yellow springs 2008 sti mind you.

@ezcompane The torque specs for most things in your engine are between 10 and 100 ft*lbs. Suspension has some really tight bolts that go up to about 200 ft*lbs. That is, of course, specs for imprezas - other cars may take other specs.
