Fake Footage from "Star Trek" created for I09.com and Trekmovie.com contest.
The concept is that the Enterprise components are built on Earth, and the pieces are hauled up into space by tug shuttles using tractor beams. This is the saucer section being lifted into orbit.
Yeah it's okay.... actually WAY better than I could have done...

Actually, I always thought the Starships were built out in the Ocean, that way as more of the ship got built, it would sink under the water. When it was complete, it would just lift out of the water. Building a ship with such an odd shape on the water seems better than rigging up all sorts of scaffolding and supports that were used in the 2009 movie.

Good job, though the thing that always got me is, in the early days shouldn't starships of been built on the moon due to the fact that it has way less gravity and no atmosphere?

I thought that was very well done and I like the subtlety of it. Thanks for sharing!

@translucentorb
What was his point? That it's fiction?
If he doesn't like the comment, he shouldn't read them. I'm doing nothing worse than anyone else, I just happen to be the idiot you DON'T agree with (this is a retarded argument, and we're all dumber for having participated).

It's funny. I was going to make an actual response to your post, and then I bothered to look it up... and there isn't any aircraft carrier being built in Kansas.
Which... pretty much blows up your entire point. FANTASTIC!

@hossrex so let's see. i make a comment on a fan made video about something thats fiction. then watch out here you come with a stupid response. i guess star trek does draw retards. i'll be heading to kansas tomorrow, i hear they're building an aircraft carrier out there. hopefully i'll make it before the move it to the ocean! idiot.

@zuki1899
Yup. Because that's how boats are made now. We build the battleship outside in the middle of a field in Iowa, then once it's complete, we disassemble it entirely, ship them to San Diego, and rebuild them in the water.
Your supposition makes PERFECT sense. You're REALLY REALLY smart!

Geez we have some stupid people posting here. just as this very nice clip suggests, the hotrod enterprise was built on earth then broken into pieces. they were then lifted into orbit and reassembled. just because you didn't see it in the film doesn't mean it didn't happen.
