And? There is no way in hell the US, China, nor most nations in the UN Security Council would allow Japan to attain the levels required for the capability of building a nuclear weapon. Japan would lose their privilege to operate those reactors. Besides, the Japanese would never endanger their "alliance" with the US. Why? They know without the US presence in Japan, their islands would be nuclear slag.
