On 7/31 at 1349 hrs TFR units responded to a car crash on I-275 northbound just past Busch Blvd. On scene within a few minutes rescuers reported at least two vehicle involved, a small gray SUV was in the right side travel lane and a small red sedan had busted through a guardrail and was sitting in the grass along the side of the interstate. The vehicles apparently collided on the interstate sending the small red car through the barrier. The woman driving the gray SUV had minor injuries; she was evaluated on scene but not transported. The woman driving the red car had minor injuries; she too was evaluated but not transported. The adult man in the front passenger seat of the red car had serious injuries. He was treated on scene by fire rescue paramedics and transported to Tampa General Hospital. Florida Highway Patrol was on scene investigating.
